I just want to make it clear that the CryoLAN staff is not MassiveLAN staff. Izumo was in past years, but will just be a regular attendee this year, as well as the rest of the staff.

That's true, I decided after MassiveLAN 2009 to part ways with MassiveLAN. We're still on good terms, and in fact CryoLAN owes MassiveLAN a big thank you for the fact that their power strips and extension cables were used for our first event!

We are two completely separate organizations though, and there is currently no overlap between our staff members.

As Gungen stated, I plan on attending MassiveLAN this year along with the rest of the CryoLAN staff most likely. I'm looking forward to my first MassiveLAN in six years where I am not involved with running the event and can just enjoy it as an attendee.

Well this was my first LAN and I had a great time. GLAN brought me along this year and introduced me to a bunch of great people.

No complaints about anything here. Everything was so new to me, I enjoyed the whole thing!

Not sure how well it would work out but maybe like a game of the hour type of thing(probably be better to last more than just an hour) for common fps's(cod, cs) and rts's, where there would be a few dedicated servers running. I think more people would jump into that game for at least some of the time so there would be bigger games available. Killalot and I were running dedicated servers throughout the weekend on cs:s and at peak we probably had only 3-4 players besides ourselves. It was still a great time, but sometimes bigger games are more fun. Obviously this is all assuming there would be many people wanting to play those games. Maybe a poll for different games that people would be most interested in playing for something like this.

We agree that there needs to be more open play servers, and that we need to get the info to the rest of the group. We are working on getting ahold of a software that will scan the network for open servers of any game and have it posted on the site as well as a projector so that people can take a quick look at whats being played. We are going to make sure that the amount of info that is given to the LANer's is increased for the next event as that was one of the things that was not happening enough, and we recognize that people will get bored without something to do.
